Oklahoma Christian University
Oklahoma Christian University (OC) is a private Christian university in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It was founded in 1950 by members of the Churches of Christ.
Originally, the university was named Central Christian College. It started out as a two-year college in 1950 but, since then, has grew to a four-year university.
In August 2001, OC was named as one of the few college campuses in the U.S., and the only in the state, to provide a campus-wide wireless Internet service and a personal laptop computer to every full-time student. In 2008, OC began providing Apple's Macbook ato all full-time students and faculty. With each MacBook, students are given the choice of an iPhone or iPod touch. Students can also choose an iPad for an added cost.
OC's mobile computing program was honored in 2013 as an Apple Distinguished Program.
